Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 7, 2026
Aida あいだ ("we", "the service") respects user privacy. This document explains what data we collect, how we use it, and where it is stored.
Data we collect
We only collect data strictly required for the bot to function:
- Discord User ID and Username — obtained via Discord OAuth (with your explicit consent). Used to identify which user is in which voice channel.
- YouTube URLs — only URLs you actively send for playback. Forwarded to our backend to extract the audio stream.
Data we do NOT collect
Passwords · payment information · browsing history · IP addresses · usage analytics · behavioral tracking
Data stored in your browser
The Chrome extension stores the following in chrome.storage (on your device only — never sent to our server):
- Sync storage (synced across devices): discordUserId, discordUsername, apiUrl
- Local storage (device-specific): autoMode, autoCount, ytNavigate (your last visited YouTube URL)
Discord Access Token
When you log in via Discord OAuth, the extension receives a temporary access token, uses it to fetch your user info, then discards it immediately — it is never stored locally or sent to our server.
Server-side data
The backend keeps the queue in memory only — no database. When the bot restarts, everything is wiped. We do not log User IDs or URLs to disk.
Third-party services
The following services are involved in operation — each has its own privacy policy:
- Discord — for OAuth and voice connection
- YouTube — we extract streams via yt-dlp (server-side); your data is not sent to YouTube
- Cloudflare — DNS, tunnel, hosting (see Cloudflare's privacy policy)
Analytics and tracking
This website and the extension contain no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts.
Your rights
Delete all local data: uninstall the extension or use chrome://extensions → Storage → Clear · Delete server-side Discord ID: since we don't persist it, simply stop using the bot is sufficient.
